Episode 15 welcomes training and leadership expert Brian Willis. Brian discusses what it means to be properly trained, why training is an agency-wide responsibility, and how to build a culture of learning.

Brian also shares his personal story of transforming from a homeless, directionless, high school dropout to having a decades long career in law enforcement. Through personal experience, he learned the value of struggling and why every day should be a training day.

Brian was a full time police officer for 25 years and has over 30 years of law enforcement training experience.

He is the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his contribution and commitment to Officer Safety in Canada, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of his contributions to the law enforcement profession and the Law Officer Trainer of the Year award.

Currently, he is the president and CEO of Winning Mind Training based out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
